Ministry of Sound
I completed this brief back in 2012 as part of a competition brief for D&AD. The brief set by Ministry of Sound required me to design a typeface and then use this typeface in three A2 poster that would be used to promote three months worth of 'Saturday Sessions'.
I thought about what makes the club night experience and the concept I went with was lights. I created a strobe like effect for my typography the broken areas reflect broken paths of light and how it scatters, I think that it is quite mesmorising and reflects the concept well.
As for the posters I went with a dark background and relected the light and smoke effects that a club would use, the posters also had to contain the colour red on each poster and then you where allowed to use orange, green, purlple and white. And so I followed a similar layout for each of my posters, and I used a font that complimented my own, using an uppercase only font gave the posters a more adult vibe.
